When we first started dating I drove a Toyota Corolla. We drove that car everywhere seeing one thing and then another. Then when we married that was our only car. It supplied us with reliable transportation for many years without us even thinking about any repairs. When I think about how long we went between oil changes it makes me cringe. The car just kept on going and going. Once our family began to out grow that can we bought a family van as most people do. It began as a reliable van but it could not take the abuse of missed oil changes and filter changes as our Toyota did. We began having little ping sounds occasionally as it complained about it’s lack of care on general maintenance. Now that some years have gone by we are much older and wiser. We take care to get the oil changed when the time comes and when there is a noise we do research to solve the problem or we take it to the shop. I am hoping our new car turns out to be as dependable as that old Toyota. I hope whee ever it is the new owners are enjoying what a great car they have. Even though it has been many years I have no doubt that car is going and going to this day!

As far as hobbies go, I’m really glad my daughter’s gotten into photography. I was always worried she’d fall into something less productive and more sinister, but it seems she’s really taken a liking to the world of the photographer. She’s constantly walking around, crouching down behind things to take their photos and she spends hours every week on her computer editing her work.

Her birthday’s coming up and I want to get her something really great (because she’s a great kid) so I’m thinking about getting her wireless internet.
