We went on a field trip with our children to see military airplanes of today and years past. One thing that struck us was the labeling on the aircraft. It was hard for us to believe an article we read about a company that has dog sled riding being offered to visitors. The economy has slowed their business down so they decided to kill 100 of their sled dogs. When I read this my heart sank as I thought of those poor dogs and the actions of those that were responsible for their welfare. The very owners that the dogs trusted and worked for being able to kill them just does not register for me. It does not register for the world over either. People are looking at this company called Outdoor Adventures in disbelief. The owner of the company is taking moral responsibility but has stated that he was unaware of the scale of the killings or how or when it occurred and he is investigating the event. The world is watching to see the outcome from these actions.
